In the community

No business can prosper if it measures success in financial terms only. The same philosophy drives our community involvement as our business practices giving people the help they need to help themselves. Our recent community initiatives include:

  • Supporting the annual prize giving event of Sebele 1 Primary School in Molepolole, we sponsor the prizes awarded to students who excel in various academic pursuits. These prizes are designed to support the children in their studies and include mathematics kits, study tables and tutorial kits.
  • Honoured Botswana’s first Olympic medalist, Nijel Amos who won a silver medal in the men’s 800m race in 2012. We presented Nijel with a cheque to the value of BWP14 173 – the same as his silver medal winning time.
  • Bayport Botswana sponsored the inaugural Bayport Karate Open Championship, held in Gaborone. The Bayport Karate Open Championship brought together primary school children from around the country to compete for top honours in the tournament.
