Speaking at the workshop in Ghanzi, the Executice Chairman of Bayport Financial Services, Mr Thata Father Maphongo informed the audience that this initiative is part of a nationwide campaign to educate customers on financial literacy to ensure they borrow “for the right reasons” and use credit to create wealth.
When addressing the audience, Mr Joseph Mathiba started off by infoming them that indeed one could “use credit to create wealth.”

Mathiba addressed a wide range of topics relating to financial literacy with his audience. Amongst others, topics discussed were on debt management, good and bad debt, building a personal networth, financial planning and budgeting. The audience had the opportunity to ask questions which were duly answered.
As part of the “credit for wealth” campaign, Bayport Financial Services is also running a sales promotion, where new customers stand a chance to win P5 000.00 every week and existing customers can win a two and a half roomed investment property worth P 200 000.00, for having referred credit-worthy new customers. The third winner of the promotion was drawn in Ghanzi. The Bayport Money Talk Show continues on RB2 every Thursday morning. The next worshop will be in Francistown.
